From early childhood, I carried a deep silence, an inheritance of loss, grief, and untold stories.
My father’s absence, my mother’s guarded strength, and my grandmother’s fierce will shaped my inner world. Within it, a quiet knowing endured, whispering an Arabic word: حَكَتْ (Hakat), she spoke, she told a story.
In this word, silence transforms and the untold begins to speak. Slowly, I began to understand that beneath every story lives a deeper voice. And so I listened.
Hakat emerged from that listening. It became a living portal where stories, archetypes, music, and symbols create space for people to hear what is speaking within.
My name is Rania Hatoum, and Hakat is your invitation to listen.
